I have Tein basics on my 2000 cav and the rear struts are set for the same ride height but, there is a 1/2 in. difference in acual height of the rear of the car. Is there something wrong with the strut or do I just need to lower the other coilover some more so the car will ride even? Also with lowering the car will I need to get a set of higher speed rated tires, I only ask because after my alignment and new tires that are speed rating of "H" the car feels realy loose and I was told I should go with a speed rating of "V". Is this true or is some one B.S.ing me.
Well IM guessing that it could be a variation in the struts, the car, or both. I would just adjust untill car is level on both sides. My old coilovers never were set the same to get the same height on both sides of car.
I know many of our Js are about 1/4" higher on the passenger front. I even notice that when I let the air out of my bags.
I am all that is man
I had the same problem, yes, you just need to adjust the rear to match
I'm sure TEIN designed the setup to have similar rake as stock. I know when I got my car back from them the back had more wheel gap so I dropped the ass a little more to make the car appear level.
