unless u beefed up the engine, an air ride wouldn't really be worth it. that and if u have insanely big rims on your car.... the ride with springs an @!#$ is fine... but once u get bigger rims and faster cars... u need something better. in which case, an air ride would be nice to have.

Air is alot more for show, if you are looking for ride quality I would go with some namebrand springs and struts, air is pretty bumpy overall. Its mostly for show to just drop it down and ride at a good height above.

Ride quality - get good springs/struts
Show - Air
Performance - coils/struts work well as do springs struts, just depends if you want adjustability

Air ride has nothing to do with how big the engine is built or the speed you are traveling . Air ride can be more comfortable than some lowered springs . I am going to go through Airride when I get my system . They offer adjustable struts and rear shocks for the J-body's . That way I can adjust how firm I want the ride . The biggest thing is it is bolt on with no fabricating needed .

Bagged Cav what are you talking about ????? An engine driven compressor ?? Most kits are going to be electric compressors going into a tank . Unless you order a engine driven compressor you are stuck with electric .

Air ride is'nt just for show either . Mercedes uses air ride on their vehicles and they perform just as good as other performance cars . Lamborghini and Porsche also use it on some of their vehicles as well . So stereotyping a suspension system is rather hard to do with air ride . Unless you bought some cheap crap then remember you get what you paid for .

About the whole ride quality thing. Most luxury cars have load leveling shocks or airbags to adjust the ride height and ride quality of the car. Lincoln has used air bags in the continental since the early 90's, and they use it to improve ride quality, of course some people are stupid and turn the switch off in the trunk becuse they think it looks cool, but that is another topic. So saying ride quality sucks with air bags isnt completely correct.
