my front sits a bit higher than my rear... (people try to tell me it's due to the system in the trunk but i've had it out and it makes no difference) i'm running the 2.2 eco...

in the FAQ it tells u, some people with 2.2 and 2.2 eco's sometimes get an uneven drop with goldlines... case in point both strat and ESB both have 2.2's(yes i know strats is an ECO) and have slightly uneven drops as they stated...

my cars dropped on sportlines and its a nice even drop, but i do have a Z24...

Well I solved my problem.

I cut 1/2 coil off the top of the front drivers side and 3/4 coil off the top of the pas side.
This got the front down level with the rear and made up for that extra 1/4" on the pas side.

Say what you will about cutting springs. I dont care. Ive been there done that for years now. Besides. I couldnt stand riding around witht he front up higher than the rear for one day.

How much wheelgap do you have in the front ESB? I am looking at goldlines for my 2.4 fire but I don't want much wheelgap up front.

With 215/45-17 its 1.5" from tire to fender. Its about 13" to center of rim which is about the same as what I read other people having. Now this is after I cut the springs.

You having the 2.4 shouldnt a problem I guess. But Im sure you will have the higher front right side.
If your picky like I am I would rather go with coilovers. ANd I still might, even though this car is just my work car now. I couldnt stand the 1/4" higher pass side that I had with these and the Teins I had before.

Thanks, and yea I am picky about being even, especially with a big system in the trunk to weigh the rear down even more.

With goldlines on my eco the front sat noticebly higher then the rear with the rear looking like it was squating, even when it was stripped..no spare nothing. My H&R's which are supposed to be higher then the goldlines sit lower in the front then the goldlines did.

from hat i have heard everyone with the eco engine is having that problem caus ethe engine is alot light then the 2.2 or the 2.4.but who knows if that is true..phil

the engine is the same weight as the 2.2 ohv, both are around the 300 mark

the 2.4 is around 50lbs heavier...

the differences in engine weight isnt as significant as many make it out to be...

ESB - i wish you would have kept those teins too i talked to the guy that has my car last week and he's letting the car collect dust..he doesn't even drive it!!! i say we go to dallas and pull a jack move!!lol j/p
but i got my new teins in the mail last week so when i go to ur place to install the new hub assembly, we'll knock that out too....o and 1 q...you think we should cut the teins??

Re: goldline drop?

tein...very even drop, and no more than 5mm of squat when installed...very smooth almost stock like ride no bouncing and no kidney belt needed... but super flat corrnering

they're a 1.4 drop though...i dont know how low you want...but we have speed bumps everywhere here so 1.4 is really low enough for me....dont wanna get stuck like my buddie did...lol
