hey i want to lower my car .. just still the winter.. cause i am saving for air..
but are there any springs (and what drops ) that would be ok with stock struts.. I dont want to go to low but 1.5" would be plenty.

safe..... the Tein h tec 1.1 drop
semi safe... prokit
not safe... sportlines
what i mean by safe is how long your struts might last... you'l hear from everyone that you should wait for the bags... or that you should get some struts for them too.
really safe..... coilovers... stock height for daily driving..... slammed for shows (thats just a guess)
anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong
coilover not safe cause the springrate is like twice as high as a stock spring!
I think he meant full coilovers (like Gravana's).
Stock springs are too much for our stock struts really. Its not uncommon to have bad shocks/struts after 30K.
If you really want it lowered though, you can always just throw them on anyways and use it like that for a few months (which, if your shocks are still good is probably about as long as they will last) and then just sell the springs in the classifieds when you get your airbags.
Tien H-tech's (1.1") and Suspension Techniques (1.2") would be your best best. The koni sport kit springs are also like 1" lowering springs too (but I don't think you can buy them seperate)
That will probably set you back initially $200 on the springs and $70 on an alignment and you can probably recover $100 back out of the springs when you sell them, so your only out like $170.
i have the magan racing springs they claim to be a 2 inch drop but its more like 1 - 1.5
any way i think they still have a group purchase going on for these things there $100.00
so you cant beat the price. i ordered them direct from the magan racing and paid
$100.00 so either way you go they're cheep enough.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
What ModFire said, as amended by Zach, is correct.
All struts/shocks wear our, it's a fact. It's just how long they last.
We really shouldn't be guessing at time; miles would be far more accurate. But we assume 10-12Kmi per year.

Probably because they are cheap and they haven't settled yet.

Agreed...
Don't waste your money. Just wait and add the money you would have spent on springs to the money towards the air bags.
