Problems with Tein Basics

Hi!

I installed my Tein Basics setup yesterday but I am having some problems...

- First, my front tires are rubbing on the the coils!
I have 18 x 7.5 inches wide wheels with +45mm offset and 225/40R18 tires, which should be fine.
But it seems that I need like 2 or 3mm more of clearance. Having +42mm of offset would be good... So, is there any solution other than changing the tires/wheels, putting spacers or anything that much expensive? Will a camber adjustment (positive) can change enough to prevent the tire from rubbing?

- The second problem is that the front is always squeeking over every single bumps.
Is somebody having these on his car could tell me if its normal, or how to fix it?

The installation have been done properly and everything seems right.

Help would be pretty much appreciated!

I had to get spacers for my proto TEIN SS's when I went from stock wheels to aftermarket. You can get spacer plates for like $5ea if you search online.

As for the noises I can only assume the installation isn't right. And seeings how your registry isn't even remotely filled out I'm not going to assume what car and year it is. I'm lazy too.

well....i just had problems with my tein basics

they were installed last week and while i was driving i started hearing a strange noise...

the next morning i figured that the mount was bouncing into the shell...so i tried tightening the nuts...

well one snapped very easily....so therers a mount down the drain...

went to the store and bought a new mount and swapped it in, i also raised my car .5 inch from the very bottom and it was good as new when it was done...

btw...my car is an 01 GT

Sorry for my lazy registration, I'm a newbie here...
By the way, it's an 03, so the upper strut mounts are correct...
But thanx for the advice
