im lookin at getting are ride for my car, but i love to drag race and im planning on going turbo next year, i have heard many things about air ride, but i was just wondering what people on here thought about how their car handles on air ride vs lowering springs and aftermarket shocks, and if anyone has a built motor on air ride, i would like to get my car into the low 13s so its gonna have a pretty good amount of power, i just wanted to make sure that are ride wont kill my chances of racing, i dont wanna brake something when i start using the slicks and racing and stuff and i dont know much about air ride so any help would be awosome. Thanks.
Well... the ride quality of air ride is crap... so... you're gonna have to make that decision...
Air ride = looks. Not performance
I have a friend who used to have air ride on his car... daily driver... it made his girlfriend sick, and she refused to ride in his car. He got rid of it.
I have other friends who still have air ride. They don't have girlfriends tho
not trying to make a correlation between those two... but hey
Air ride is not cheap..

i think at most tracks you cant race if you have air ride system. its like a saftey issue
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
yeah it doesnt have the support/dampening for hard driving
I race on bags but no motor work at all

Well said.
Most of you who know me know that Im all about being low and all that good stuff. But THe air ride ont he J body is crap. Im so happy I just picked up a truck that I can bag. THe air is already half way off the cavy and will never be back.
SO Deejay24. I say stick with a nice coilover setup. With the sppeds you will be going I wouldnt want to be on air. It wouldnt be good to have a malfunction on the track while making a 13sec pass. PLuss a coilover setup will be lighter.
I am all that is man
