I just got some of EAI new style x-air brackets for my car, the problem is the mounting tabs are not spaced far enough apart and the holes that I bolt them to the car with are about 1/4" off in width. When I called them about it they said to drill out one of the holes so it will fit and pull the tabs apart to give them the width they need in order to mount them up. My question is, will doing that weaken the welds or no? I was going to go to a local welding shop and have them re-do the mounting tabs so that I could just bolt them on. Should I do that or can I just do as EAI recommended?
tell eai to send you the cav brackets
did the same thing to me we bought the cav kit for my buddys probe and they sent me saturn brackets
i wouldn't take their advice unless you get it in writing so it doesn't void your warranty
