HELP!!! Dont kno whats goin on. . .
Thursday, August 11, 2005 12:01 PM
Ok, 2 things

First:
i needed new strut mounts because the passenger side one has been makin a noise when i turn. this has happend ever since i lowered it a couple weeks ago(yea i kno i shulda changed them, i dont kno y i didnt). but anyway i went to pick up the strut mount from autozone n they have one in stock and order another. i go to pick up the second one today n its in an older looking box and is missing two pieces that the other one came with. im guessin ill return it n make them get me the newer one.

Second:
its funny that the today i turn and dont hear a noise coming from the passenger side. i had to turn it alot but this time it sounds like it is comin from the middle of the car. defintely feels like sumthin havin to do with the steering best part is if i turn left and i hear the noise, the car goes left. i turn right and here the noise, the car goes to the right.

i have no clue as to what to do. do i need another alignment or what. is it sumthin else like the CV joints

pleeeeeeezzz help me!!!!!!!

if you got a buddy with a rack raise the car and take a look around, most likely its not the cv joints, those make a very noticable popping noise when you corner sharply, least they did on previous cars, sounds like somethin in your rack, or the linkage, check tie rod ends and such, best thing to do is find a buddy with a rack, anything that you can get under the car and take a look would be very helpful.

im gonna change the mounts today and see what happens. i hope all will be fixed after this and an alignment tomorrow. i remember that like 2 years ago the dealer had to change the rack and pinion because there was a recall but if there is something wrong with ithow much do you think its gonna cost?
