i have a little problem with one of my air lift easystreet valves. it is staying open enough that it wont dump all the way unless the tank is empty but it still clicks when i hit the swtich to fill that corner. however i have that cheapo plexiglass 10 switch box. is it possible that the switch to that corner is letting enough current through that it is holding it open enough to do this. if not can i rebuild the valve? please help, its my daily driver and am at a loss for a comfortable ride. if it matters i have a water trap and a viair 380c. thanks in advance.
It is not the switch. If it was it would eather do it or not. It would not just give enough current to do something you know. If you suspect it then try switching the switches. It is most likely a dirty or stuck valve. Try to clean it out. take it apart and inspect the rubber seal inside. Clean out the thing. If that does not work then it is most likely the solenoid that is bad. The actuall valve that gets actuated by the solenoid. One of mine was bent causing it to open and stay open cause the spring thing inside of it was not able to come back down. Could be that.
does the one corner dump at all? do what dave said and clean it. be careful though when you take it about. once you got that little black box off, take the post off gently. like dave said if you bend it, you might mess the valve up. once you have it loose, be careful when you take it out. it has a little "o" ring in there and if you let the bottom slide all the way out, you may loose the spring that goes to it. clean it w/ warm soapy water (thats what i was told by easystreet)
ill give it a try. thanks for the help
this may sound stupid but is there suppossed to be a little hole in the diaphram?
alrite, got it fixed. the metal cylinder in the diaphram was sitting crooked. thanks for the help fellas. later
