Coilover Installation Instructions

A friend of mine bought Coilover sleeves on eBay and he and a few other people called me last night and had me come over and take a look at them. They're Bomz and look just like the Dropzone coilover sleeves I bought about 4 years ago and put on my Sunfire when I had it - but I don't remember how we put them on. They can't figure it out either. They have the back ones on but we know they're not on right because the car doesn't sit any lower than stock even when the coilovers are turned all the way down.

The last time I wrenched on a 96-99 J car was long ago, and I don't remember how we did it. On a Civic you just throw them on where the springs went and you're done with it - but this application requires something different.

If anyone has written instructions WITH PICTURES that I could print off and give them that'd be cool. I've searched Google and this site and haven't been able to find any. I was able to find a write up in the form of a Word .doc file from "Independent Style and Performance" on Google, but whoever wrote it doesn't describe the process very well and I'm looking for something with pictures so they can easily see what to do.

If anyone can hook me up with a PDF file or something, please let me know.

maybe because they are @!#$ coilovers. tell him to toss them. putting coilovers on any car is pretty much the same.

no sh__ it requires something different...

it requires cutting off the spring perch, and the coilovers to sit directly on the strut, not on the spring perch...

those coilovers are crap simply because they dont come with all the necessary parts to install em.

go to rksports site and look up their coilovers, theres a pdf with directions...

i also put something like that in the FAQ, which where everyone asks, but no one looks.....go figure.
