Ticking noise from wheel!?!
Thursday, August 18, 2005 1:24 PM
I have a 2001 coupe, and since Ive lowered it I noticed a ticking noise coming from the drivers side. The noise is constant, and it doesn't matter if Im going left or right. I always have that ticking. Tires are good, no nails. What could it be?

It could be a CV joint.

Left your car unattended for a while? I've put zip ties on my friends' axles for @!#$s and giggles before. Drives them nuts.

Id check again for a nail.

Since Ive been driving....everytime I've heard ticking coming from anyone of my wheels its always turned out to be a nail.

Right now its the ticking.....in a day or two it will be a pop or a hisssss...and then a "DOH!!!"

Say it with me, "Its not what you know...It's what you can prove"

No nails, I recently puts new pads on. The noise is still there.

C.T.S - No zip ties, but hey good idea.
