my guess would be strut mounts...they go like every 5k lol no seriously i have an 04 with 45K km on it. their gone already. luckly under warrenty..i have heard their expensive. your best be is to have it looked at by a reputable shop and see whut they say. NOT ONE THAT THE MECHANICS WORK ON COMMISION EITHER they will drain you dry...by the time u leave they will have convinced you that you need an engine rebuild to stop your suspension from makin noise..lol.
hope this helps...and get it fixed..its your only link to the road..it goes and so do you

what do you exactly have for suspension components?
struts springs etc....
dash rattles prob cause of the missing goo padding.... when you first take apart a stock dash, you;ll notice black goo spots... basiaclly pad your dash in certain areas and it will diminish.
i have all stock suspension.. replaced tie rods before.. its just an overall @!#$ty ride when i hit nay bumps
Your struts are gone. Springs are find, basically never wear out (unless you get them on ebay for $40). Struts mounts are questionable. Ball joint or two probably on the verge. Especially if you never greased them. Control arm bushing are most likely separated too. Basically there's probably not much that isn't worn out.
The rattling could be a tire out of balance, or a warped rotor too. Your description isn't good enough for us to tell really.
Start where you please, but I'd just save up the money and do everything at once.
well i'ma take a guess you;ve added some weight with the stuff in the car right....
basically a new set of oem replacement struts and prob like said, new mounts would do the deal.
nothing to do with tires/rims or alignment its all squared away if i post pix of any bushing can people tell if there wore out? where do i loook
for the a-arm bushings you actually gotta remove the arms for those.
The control arm (a-arm) bushing a somewhat visible with it still on the car. There's a verticle bushing in the back, and a horizontal in the front. You should be able to tell just from looking at them if they look right or not.
I'm guessing the clunck noises when turning can be the cv joints. Anyways I would take it to place where they can change all the components that could be damaged. For a reasonable price, of course!
stock '00 2200 cavy
If you take it in somewhere, they're going to find a lot wrong with it I'm sure. You'll probably get $200 per strut, $100 per mount, $50 per bushing, $100 per ball-joint, $150 per CV joint. And those prices will change depending on what exactly is wrong, the more they have to do, the cheaper each will get because they already have the whole thing apart, and labor isn't adding much to the cost.
Be prepared for an estimate between $500 and $1200 depending on what's wrong; and going to an average priced shop.
ok so im going to get a junk cavalier like an 03.. im assuming all the suspension would still be good for awhile.. anyway wut all would be IDEAL to take.. not aloott but covering my rough ride??
Shocks struts.. front and back??
strut mount
are ball and cv joints salvageable? if so are they hard to get out ect??
what else would i need??
are you sure you are riding stock height? in that pic (sig) it looks like you are dropped.. take a pic of ur springs and post here

unless you are in a jam, struts is something i would never take from another junked car.....
springs....cool.
strut mounts, check for cracks....but cool.
struts.... its a gamble unless you are gonna take em apart there... but i;d shell the 150 for a set of gabriel vsts or other oem replacements from pepboys ....monroes...
lol i would know if im lowered or not.. my car is stock height.. trust me.. i look at it.. i have a 96 any parts i take off an 03 have to be alot better then wut i already have plus its dirt cheap so whatever
not really anything gonna be better.... thats why its called STOCK
dirt cheap doesnt always means its a bargain. you can get something dirt cheap and be worse off than you are now...
you didnt cheap out on the interior/exterior, suspension is def a place to not cheap out... general consensus would say its a bit more important than ext/interior pieces
well i know when u buy a new car it rides alot better then mine.. its got 111k miles i dont want awsome suspension i have no need for it just a better ride basically im comparing if i were to go buy a 2003 cav. it would ride better then mine thats why i want the parts off it.. im paying like 200.00 for struts shocks spings back brakes and bushings and strut mounts.. all from a 03 cav. anyway i dont have tthe car or i would post pix
i will when i get it back either way 200 for all that plus its from an 2003 i would assume imam be doing alot better then it is not correct?
thanx
Your springs are just fine. They will never wear out, unless you do something to them.
The 03 rear brakes are different from yours. Unless you swap the whole assembly, not many parts are interchangeable.
The new stock bushings will be just as bad as your old bushings by the time you take them out, put them back in, break them into the new vehicle....
The mounts, depends on if yours are gone, if the new ones are any good, a lot to look at really. Just cause they're newer doesn't mean jack.
The struts will make a good difference. Probably the biggest noticeable difference. New GR2s only cost around $200 though.
It's up to you though, sounds like a good deal all around.
you can also get brand new gabriel vsts for under 150....
if your mounts arent blown, simply clean and regrease the bearings....free
rear brakes like said are different. check yours to see if they need chaning... alot of times most will only need cleaning...5+ can of brake cleaner....
155$ total.
i think ill just go with new stuff..lol how much are bushings? or strut mounts?
strut mounts 50 per
bushings 35$ shipped from karo....55 sets in stock last i read
