I always see the kits on J's that have alot of switches and extras
Is there a basic plain kit? like no individual movement, the whole car goes up and lays down as one, nothing else, and no violent jumping when changing height, liek a nice 10-15 seconds from full up to full down and vise versa? Somethign like what you'd find on factory air ride set ups except obviously drop it alot lower
i believe any kit you get you could hook all four tires up to one switch. guy up in MN had his on two switches to begin with (front and rear).

hey darkstars if your thinking about going air ride there might be a GPS going from jason. He's looking for about 4 serious people to start it.
well 10-15 seconds up and down is a really long time. you can buy a basic kit from jason at aplus and it comes w/ everything you need and it comes w/ 4 switches. one for each corner. how you use them is up to you. you can wire up only 2 and have one for the front and one for the rear. with switches you can do whatever you want, its just a matter of wiring it up. as for the car raising in that time, i would say if you want it to be that slow, get small vavles and small lines but the easystreet kit comes w/ 3/8 valves and 1/2 lines. on a full tank, that will (should) be able to hop all 4 tires off the ground.
You want manual controlled air..had it on my cavalier and now its on my cutlass
<img src="http://registry.gmenthusiast.com/images/wrecked92/sig3.jpg">
^^^ care to be more specific? never heard of manually controlled air
i think he is refering to the switches you just flip yourself. instead of the digtal gauges where you can set to a certain psi.
paddle valves
1st 1st gen on air.....
Get the front and rear struts.
some manualy operated paddle valves. like just mentioned.
1/4" lines and fittings.
3 gallon tank and one compressor.
THis is a very basik kit but will work. Its how everyone used to do it before things got bigger and faster.
Compressor will fill tank-------1/4" line runs from tank into the back of the guege pod------------ that line splits into the two switches----------. from there one line runs to front and one line runs to the back.
No electrics valves period.
And you CAN NOT hook up all four corners to one Valve. the simplest you can get is front and back. If you hook up all four together the rear will lift all the way up before the front even tries to get off the ground because the huge weight difrance.
I am all that is man
the kit is a tank. a compressor. the gauge panel. bags. air lines. thats it, the air lines from the bags go directly to the gauge panel. and one line comes in from the tank to the gauge panel. 4 switches on the gauge panel controls each wheel. there is nothing electric about the gauge panel ,when u release the air it comes out of the gauge panel. ill post some pics later but here is the gauge panel from the mic website
<img src="http://registry.gmenthusiast.com/images/wrecked92/sig3.jpg">
the front lines were not plugged in yet in that pic
it doesnt look like this now this was just rigged up to get it to work
and no the band pass box is not hooked up i was cleaning out the garage and threw it in the trunk when i pulled the car out
basically the red line comes straight from the tank to the controls
and each bag is hooked directly into each switch and the air when released blows out of the bottom of the switch its all manual. ill time it see how long it takes to raise and lower but it is nice and smooth...unlike the other kits

Well for the price of that MIC exensive arss guage panel one could go ahead and buy electric valves. and have money left over.

my thing is it`s a car not a carnival ride, i use this set up on most installs i do and i love it it`s in my car right now been in it for a year no problems at all, very basic up down and front and back
and for 700 bucks can`t go wrong
can i haz bondo
Yeah those are nice kits ^^^^^
But I would still go with a 4 wheel control kit on a J unless the car has front and rear sway bars.
I had just front and back for a couple months and it was horrible not having swaybars. THe car leaned realy realy bad in corners from air bleeding from side to side.

says it right on the tank. air ride technologies. thats only a 4 vavle kit though so you wont have a fbss kit unless you get 4 other valves. if all you want is front and back action then thats your kit
that kit doesn't include the air strut/shocks whatever you want to call them does it?
im going to say no. i checked their site and i found something really similar to that pic and it was 700 also but it ones comes w/ what is shown.
my car not gonna be a frog hopper or anything i just want it to raise and lower thats all. like hen i park it lowers and when i start to drive it lifts. i dont need one side up and one side down just a standard lift and drop...
would this work?

yea but then you would have to buy the struts too which are gonna be more than that air management kit. if you want air, check out jasons gp going on. for 1700 you get everything you need except for a water trap and it comes w/ 8 valves instead of 4
forget it then i didnt want to spend over 1000 i was looking for something in this range 700-800 dollars
anybody got any suggestions?
