Freedom design strut bars
Friday, September 02, 2005 6:58 PM
I just installed a freedom design strut bar, on the front and the handleing is awesome. It was a huge improvment. Does anybody else have this strut bar, and if so have you had any problems with it at all, such as loose bolts or anythign of that nature? Anything that i might want to look out for. I installed it in an 03 cavi sedan with the cruise control, and i mounted the cruise control that is mounted to an engine mount on the top of the strut bar. It fit better that way. Thanks in advance.

there should never be loose bolts...

simply make it tight...

i can honestly say out of every 100 braces i see, atleast 40 are just there and not tightened down..... worst mistake to make.

its like wearing underwear, but not pullin em up to cover your no no;s....its like if you are gonna install it or them, might as well do it right

Well, i have it installed and it is tight as tight can be, i even drove it around to make sure that everything is tight and when i went to check the bolts, the were tight as can be. I was just wondering in the long run if anything like that were to happen?

I also have a rear brace that i am gonna be installing, is it better to mount the brace on top of the bolts ar take them off and mount it.

well since there is only one nut to remove in the rear, basically its lay the plate over the one nut and 1 or 2 welded in nuts, and add 2-3 nuts depending on how many mounting points in the rear....

if bolts are tight up front, only way they will loosen is if done manually, realistically. so your fine.
