Another brake question
Saturday, September 03, 2005 9:52 PM
Okay, found the brake shoes.... bastidges are hard to find lately.

Anyhoo, i've actually been entertaining the idea of doing a disc brake conversion for the rear of my cavi, but searches have proved futile.

any hits on this sort of kit? I really want to improve the stopping power on my car and smooth out the braking too.

Besides, the more horsepower you have, the more braking power you'll need to stop.
and i want this sucker to stop on a dime and give me 9 - 1/2 cents change

Freakin morons.... When will they learn. Hold On Not Done Accelerating

okay wow.... 30 seconds later i hit SSBC $800 for the rear conversion kit.... but **MUST** be used with front brake kit also, and i can only have them on a minimum of 17" rim....

$800 rear conversion
$1200 front kit (12" rotors, not 13")
$700-1400 for 17" rims & tires
$200 for shipping for everything
=
F*** THAT
$2900 - $3600

Clicky

While not a big brake upgrade, it is still a disk brake upgrade nonetheless.

Yeah, check out what Kardain has there. If your just looking for disc brakes, and a bit more stopping force, it's probably the way to go.
