What do you mean by being uneven on the 2.2 Models? That's the same for the 2200 model too? So is this on every car, or just random ones that makes the car sit higher in the front?
The 2.2 Eco is not the same as the 2200. If you see someone comparing the 2.2 and the 2200, they're talking about the 2.2 Eco and the 2200 (which is also 2.2L). If they just say 2.2L they're probably talking about the 2200. The 2.3 (older) and 2.4 (newer) are different generations of the same engine, the 2.2 Eco was based on the 2.4L.
The car has nautral rake, meaning it leans forward to start with. Many poeple mistakenly think the car should sit level. It should not.
Also there have been plenty of problems with people installing the wrong strut mounts with aftermarket struts, and all that causing problems.
The Eibach springs, either pro-kit or sportslines, have no design flaws related to different engines in our cars. It's mostly just incorrect installations by uninformed people.
Is that what you were asking??
agreed...
mainly because of the rake angles mentioned.
Im pretty sure the uneven problem spud is refering to is the problem of the front sitting up higher than the rear after installing the springs.
It has nothing to do with installing them wrong. It has to do with the springs being made for J's with 2.4s that can weigh the front end down and keep it level.
I am all that is man
I just installed the Pro kit on my 02 Eco and the car sits fine.

thing is, the difference in the engines are 50-60 lbs...
2.4 weighs the most, the eco and 2.2 are pretty much about the same weight....
things settle in over time, after your sat in it, drove around, etc... also as a testament, bubble guts car, is still lower in the front than in the rear by far.... however it lowered the car evenly front and rear as advertised.....pro kits and agx...
most people who install em freak out the soon after they have put em on... day or two, maybe a week.... then to top it off, most measure on slanted ground. weights gonna shift off one side to another in that case....
they dont factor that when you drive, you;re gonna have a 150lb (avg weight of a small male) bias on the front driver side, and maybe a 120lbs (if you have a female with you) on the passenger side...
thats close to 300 lbs which is gonna make the springs settle diffrently.... anyone who has seen the vid i posted within the past 2 days, theres less than a fingers worth of gap with people IN the car...
the larger you are, the more its gonna settle differently.
springs are like any other part, its gonna take time to break in before full appearance, and usage are noticeable.
if there is a 1/8 to a quarter inch difference per side, you also gotta keep in mind GM isnt perfect, and every chassis has a tolerance range for being off... its like our alignments... we dont have to be 0.00 to be correct in toe, we can be up to like 0.06 per side...
with springs really, nothing will ever be perfect.... the majority of springs are cheaply made, the ones that are decent usually have performance in mind more than shaving tenths for each individual car to sit perfectly level (or what most THINK appears level -but isnt due to the rake angle of the body- you actually make the front nose stick up, which traps air at highway speeds under the front like a plane takin off ....aka negative rake angle
)
for those that want stuff for show, get coilovers or air ride....springs are the cheapest method to lower your car with quality. its not gonna be perfect, but if done right, it should handle great.
Yeah I forgot that I just another post from you about the small weight dif.
My Goldlines were way off. ANd they have had plenty of miles and havnt settled.
But every person Ive asked says it looks fine.
It bugs the crap out of me. SO I guess I need to go back onto some coilovers so I can set it exactly how I want it.

wait you are on springs again? hows the new bag setup thingy you posted on a week or 2 ago?
Well I got in a new rear bag for the car that had popped. THat what Jim hooked me up on and why I made that post.
BUt one of my front bags was coming aprt and I really dont feel like shipping it back for them to look at. Because I would still have to buy a new strut for it and with my luck it would blow again and Js do not ride good on blown struts as you well know.
Im getting sick of it all really. Thats why Im swapping it all over to my new S10. Everything but my front struts will transfer.
TO all those who think a J is crappy with springs and blown struts..........
THats nothing compared to bags and blown struts.
