i am getting a helwig rear sway bar and tie bar setup. The setu was installed on a buddies 2000 cav z24 Now i have a 95 sunfire coupe. On the rear bearing there is 2 pieces that are welded on the bearing to support it but on the 2000 there is none...with those pieces in there i cant install the sway bar ..can i cut one out or atleast make room for the bar?? please help..phil

What bearing are you talking about?

I see no bearing here:

its a bearing support..the 2000 looks just like that bt on mine there are 2 pieces side by side that are about 1" by 2" sticking down below the strut mount.....we looked at both cars and they are identical on the trailing arm except that piece..we figure wjhe should be fine to cut..maybe it was just extra support?

you might have to cut one side of it...

i know what you mean, the plate on the hell wig that comes from the bearing side to up under the trailing arm itself. and out to the inner side.

if you dont feel comfy with cutting, i;d suggest getting ahold of an older rksport swaybar which that piece shouldnt get in the way or an addco.

Im not overly worried about cuting cause the newer cars dont veen have any of that at all and we only need to section a bit..i was just wondering if this part was a huge structural thing i didnt see..im getting the sway bar and tie bar for 100cdn so for the price i cant go wrong...phil

I like it a lot. I just have to get the exhaust adjusted becuase it hits it when I go over bumps.

Hey Zach,
Where did you get the end L bracket?

Or is that a custom job you had done?

Zach,

Is that an Addco bar? If so, I'm JUST putting one of those in.

I'm interested in those L-brackets. How much? I live at 17022 for shipping, btw.

Let me know.
