Broken axle

ya so ran over a curb on the highway doing about 70. Both my tires on the drivers are blown. The axle came out of the tranny i guess. i tried to drive it off the highway but it wouldnt move at all so i had to have someone with a car push it off the road. My car is lowered like 2.5 inches. also there was tranny fluid all over the ground so i geuss i ripped off the pan i hope. i really dont know how much damage i caused because its still sitting at my buddys house because its like 40 miles away from my house. the tow truck driver charged me 187.00 to tow it 9 miles. so i have to wait to get it towed to my house til i get some more money. also the strut looks like its a little crooked. it also messed my fender up and ripped off my side skirt. also my glove box is messed up too its like the handle broke. the dash is also popped up a bit. does that sound like i bent the frame or what. it also ripped off the rail that runs from like the radiator back a bit.

So what else do you guys think it messed up(like tie rod or wheel bearing)? is the cv joint part of the axle shaft? am i looking at alot of money. Do you think i can fix it all. i can do pretty much to a car. i just never done anything like this.

Sounds like you may have seriously f-ed up your car. I would have a shop completely look over the car to help figure out what got messed up.

95% sure you bent the frame too badly to repair.
4% sure it will cost more to fix than to buy the same car again.

But you knew that already........
Look on the bright side, if you post pictures you may get some sympathy.

I hit a curb last year in an ice storm going abt 35mph. Very nasty impact, broke the curb and the rim.. Bent the lower control arm around the sway bar putting the tire into the fender. Also bent the whole wheel hub assembly. Looking at it, it looked BAD but a few junkyard parts and it was good to go again after an alighnment. You will DEFINATLY need a new control arm and wheel hub those parts can bend just a few hundredths of a degree and cause it to not be able to be aligned. as i found. The dash could have came up from the impact, the upper piece to my dash broke from just the impact i had. Either way you need to take it to an experienced place to have alighnment checked, they will get it in the air and be able to see the frame and based on how far out of alignment it is they can see whats causing it. shouldnt cost you more than 65$ for a professional opinion.

dont waste time getting parts until you get it looked at on a machine

Well, if you broke things like the axle, transmission pan, and control arm, I would buy those at a junkyard.

Struts, tires, brakes, etc.. I would buy new.

You may want to look into a AAA membership. They will tow you up to 75 miles for free and I'm sure its only like $60 to become a member.
