I've search around and people seem to like the sprint springs. I'm currently on DropZone springs and I don't like them. The car is nice and low, here it sits below, on KYB GR2's and DropZone 2" drop springs. But... the springs are sagging and I want something different. What's the general opinion currently of Spring springs? Thanks guys...

Eibach all the way son...and support them on KYB AGXs and Konis
BTW, your GR-2s weren't designed to be on any type of drop.

come to the CO forums, it seems like everyone here either has sprints, or had sprints at one point
i dont mind them, they are one of the lowest lowering springs you can use, pretty much because they sag though, ride is pretty bad on anything close to stock struts, and like said the gr2s arent doing any better than your stockies sooo i would get thouse replaced quick
you could go with a little less of a drop and get the kyb AGXs, they arent that expensive and they are adjustable, plus you dont have to cut any other struts to make them fit like reds or yellows
thats my 2 cnets bro, hope it helps
sprint springs arent bad but you'll need konis w/ them. the gr2s you have are only oem replacements and not meant for any drop. the agxs only go for a 1.5" drop and sprint springs are a 1.8" drop.
^^^actually with the sag they have been measured at more than a 2 " drop
Actually from what I have read elsewhere, the GR2's can take up to a 2" drop just fine. And I got some pretty horrible roads and I've had one of the smartest car people I know tell me to stick with them they are a good strut. I'm not throwing out anymore money on struts anytime soon.

GR2s have just recently been promoted to a 1.5" drop. Call KYB. They are not to be used on a 2" drop. How long have you had the DZs on the GR2s? More than a few thousand miles... They're probably blown from being on the DZs; which is why we tell people not to use them, and KYB will not warranty them.
Not to be too rude, but we don't care what other boards full of ignorant people
think. I wouldn't listen to your "smart friend" either.. Did he tell you to go with the DZ + GR2 combo?
Your drop-zone's are crap, which you already know. Sprint are OK. Eibach Sportslines are highly recommended though it's your choice really. Check out the FAQ.
If you're going anything more than 1.5" drop, you should use Koni Yellow or Red or Tokico D-Spec. Nothing else can handle a drop more than 1.5"
I have had the KYB's on the car since January. They are not blown, I pulled them off last week to inspect and they aren't blown at all. Yes I know the DZ springs are crap. I don't like them, which is why I want something different. My smart friend recommend KYB GR2's to me and I trust him. Hell I'm talking about a guy who build a 9 second Nova yenko clone with an ALL MOTOR 496 BBC, and engineered his own spring rates so the car would sit perfectly level counting for his weight, so when he isn't in the car, it sits lopsided.

You could allways try the Tein S-Techs......i have them but they arent on yet
sprint springs have been known to go past 2.25 inches within 6 months...
that.....is sagging. 1.8 really isnt all that low, however when things sag, thats why they are known as some of the lowest springs
KYB GR2;s are pretty much limited to 1.5 inches... its been that way since 2003 in the least.
just because they arent spurting out oil doesnt mean they arent damaged.... humans have something called "internal bleeding" which is just if not more harmful than bleeding on the outside....
struts go through the same. you cant rarely ever tell if struts are damaged when ON the car unless its a severely blown piece...
and the kyb;s on another car cant be compared to a cavalier, 9 times out of 10 a NOVA does not have the same suspension as these cars do.
and people wonder why we get so many repeat question on "do i need a camber kit"
while other friends may be skilled in their own cars regimens, they can be completely clueless when it comes to another cars makings, setups, etc... its like introducing fuel injection to someone who is only skilled in carbureators.
I'm not saying he knows based on suspension. I'm just saying i trust him as someone who knows the right @!#$ to buy. I mean... until my KYB's do break, I'll stick with them because I am kinda forking out a LOT of money to other causes right now. I doubt I will get the springs anytime soon, just wanted a general opinion. I like the way the car looks this low, but I'm putting a Z24 kit on the car on Friday and I'd hate to destroy it. So I may go with the Tein S-Techs. We put them on our turbo sedan and I love them.
