Sharp left turns, Rubbing noise.
Thursday, October 06, 2005 11:46 PM
Under shaper left turns. Not real sharp, but still sharp... there is a rubbing noise from the front end. Going up my driveway at night it does it too... any suggestion. My car also pulls to the right a bit. Just had my car alligned last weekend.

Alignment Reads:
Front Left Caster 4.53degrees
Front Right Caster 4.29 degrees
Front left Camber -0.47 degrees
Front right Camber -0.53 degrees
Rear Left camber -0.09 degrees
Rear Right camber -0.31 degrees
and
Front left Toe 0.06 degrees
Front right toe 0.01 degrees
rear left toe 0.08 degrees
rear right toe 0.00 degrees
Total Toe 0.07 degrees

Thurst angle 0.08 degrees

Any advice would be appreciated.

All those specs look fine to me. I would start by checking the right front wheel bearing and both the strut mounts. Could even be a ball joint.

I have all the polyurathane bushings. *Control arm, D link, end links. i think its my strut mounts though... It only comes from the left driver side.

Do you get the rubbing noise when while turning the wheel, OR is it constant while the wheel is turned?

Its constant through the turn.

I would think that if you take the wheel off you could see what's rubbing. It should be fairly obvioius from the wear marks. Is it a metal on metal sound, or plastic on rubber, metal on rubber; can you tell at all?
