Att. ohv owners! front/rear anti-sway bar ?

...searched, and looked in the faq ?, but no definite answer to what i was looking for.

i own a 96 2.2 ohv (5speed, if any tranny clearance issues). got the rk front and rear tower braces, a subframe, decent struts/shocks with h&r springs (though gonna upgrade later), and ploy control arm bushings, but still have a little body roll. not really into competition, but just some weekend, um, spirited driving. wanna get rid of the body roll. anti-roll bars im sure will help, but my ?: is:

1. since my car didnt come with a stock bar, what "hardware" do i need to get from a z24 to make it work on my car? (i read in the faq id have to do this) Is it difficult to do? Or do any kits, like the eibach kit, come with the necessary hardware? better yet, can it simply be welded to the undercarriage/subframe?

2. ive also read about understeer/oversteer issues with improperly sized bars. also read sometimes it may be better to just buy the rear bar, as it will make the steering more neutral? guess i just want input from ohv owners to what they are running, and how they installed it, and most importantly, how their setup works and if they are happy with how it perfroms.

if anyone with an ohv with a similar setup as mine has either a rear or front and rear anti sway bar conbo, please respond. thanks!

You'll need the bar itself (obviously), the bushings (use aftermarket poly), endlinks (again, aftermarket poly), and the clamps. All the holes for the clamps and endlinks should be there, and all you have to do is bolt everything on. I can't give you specific instructions, since I've never really pulled apart a 3rd gen, but its a pretty straightforward bolt on.

Don't forget- 2nd gens have 2.2 OHVs too

I would suggest buying the Addco front/rear swaybar combo from Gravanatuning.com. It comes with everything you''l need for $300. The only hard part about installing the front bar is having to drop the subframe.

I have the addco sways and i havent had time to put the front in but the rear was noticeable, I feel that it complimented my koni yellows and tein springs nicly.

Oh and i to enjoy "spirted" driving. lol......pssst psst.. I think if you have a base modle you need to get the clamps though they are like 99cents an gm parts dircet.

I have the addco front bar. It was a noticable difference over my stock 18mm bar.

I have both addco bars, a subframe brace, and front and rear strut bars. I also have KYB AGX's and H&R springs. I found that with the addition of the addco front bar, my car would have terminal understeer. I added a rear tie bar to solve the problem. The car is pretty neutral with the KYB's on full stiffness all the way around.

Therefore, If you have a problem with understeer, then I would suggest the addco front bar. Otherwise, match an addco rear bar with a 22mm front bar off the newer LS sports and Z-24's (2000+)

Should be if you have a problem with oversteer(not understeer), get the addco bar.

Adding bars (or bigger bars) to the front gives your understeer.
Adding bars (or bigger bars) to the rear gives you oversteer.

These are incredibly generalized statements, so take them with a grain of salt.
