Strut mount bearings a common problem?
Monday, October 31, 2005 8:30 AM
My 2002 Cavalier base model is clunking slightly when making turns at slow speeds. I checked the tie rod ends, ball joints and they are ok. Car has 30,000 miles on it. I'm thinking from reading other posts here that the problem is the strut mount bearings. Need opinions please.

God bless America.

Yep. It sounds just like a strut mount. Now you know why we talk about them so much.

All you need is the bearing itself. They are about $20 a piece.

What about pillowball mounts? Are they available? Also, its the same bearing for the ART kit right? I'm pretty sure

Simple pillow ball mounts are not available yet; I'm working on a design, will be producing some in Jan/Feb. You could do McMoney's camber plates too.

I don't know about ART.
