First off, Hello. My name is Dan. I used to be all about VWs But for some reason I just stopped liking them. So, for the past 4 months I have been looking into other cars.
My friend Steve from school has a '99 Z24. He had trouble with his B+M shifter sticking so he came over to my house to see if I could figure out what it was. Well, after fixing the shifter(he forgot to put in a washer when installing it) I drove it around. After that I was hooked. So I started searching. (this all happened last night)
I found a 2002 Z24 Sedan. It is a 5spd and has 39k on it.
I went to look at it this morning, I will be going back this afternoon to talk to the dealer. They were not open when I was there.
sweet, if you like sedans thats a kinda rare cavalier, not to many z24 sedans
they do have alot of low end tourqe, which is probably what you liked about it so much

Is the front bumper suppose to have ground effects like the sides and the rear?

Looks like you found a really nice car, as
97cavy22 mentioned, Z24 Sedans are actually pretty rare. Yours also looks like it is in excellent condition, and plus its a 5-speed, which is much less common in sedans.

Thank you for the welcome everyone. And thank you for the info. I might try to find a front lip to put there. I looked and it has the slits to attach it. I also have access to a paint booth and the know how to paint it (I am in a collision repair class).

since it is a 02 what motor does it have? 2.4Litre or 2.2Litre ecotec since that is the change over year

I have never seen a Z24 sedan without a lip.
Also, it looks like the air dam is damaged a little on the drivers side, under the fog light, so it that may help clue us in on it.
By the way, I like the car alot....
I knew the airdam is damaged. The dealer said that he would replace it.
I picked up the car tonight! It is so nice. The stock speakers sound good for stock. And the keyless entry works well... It was pouring rain when I came out of the mall. I bought a new CD to go with the car. I bought Nirvana: Nevermind.
I have yet to think of a name for her yet. I havent been able to really drive her, damn rain.

i love my cavalier, i never thought i'd say that rofl (i used to be a MOPAR/NOCAR guy) and things have changed quite abit, this little twin cam holds its own pretty damn good for being stock.

The front fascia (lip) is missing.. I'd bitch about it and get him to replace it. Mine got knocked off by a piece of ice last winter, still haven't bothered to put it back on yet.. It looks funny with it missing.
