whats goin on- i wanted to know if there is anyone in here that can get a hold of the top dash piece of the 01 cavaliers. the piece that is right below the windshield..mine is cracked and the dealership says its like a 350$ piece......if anyone can find me the same piece for 01 and if possible, (black) cause i hate the tan color. id appriciate it. thanks. i dont feel paying for a 350$ piece from the dealership. it aint worth that much.

everyones cracks, deal with it, or go to the j'yard and find and pull yourself out a new one, its not the easiest thing to just 'replace'

i think there was a thread around here somewhere, where someone was gonna make a replacement piece for it, because it happens to like 25% of jbodies

never go to the dealer for a part...unless you have too

Its $350 because its pretty much the entire dash. That piece that runs along the windshield is the same piece that forms the glove box, radio mount, hvac mount, and the area under your steering wheel. Its a huge piece.
