I have a 2000 cavalier z24 with the 5 speed getrag.And was thinking of doing a ecotec swap will my transmition fit the ecotec.and will i have to change my ecu to a 2002 up ecu. the reason i want to do this is becouse my 2.4 has 80.000 miles and is ticking bad.A mechanic said that its my lifters. Hes charging me 1000. to put new lifters timing chain and waterpump. i dont think thats a good idea becouse my engine has had alot of abuse alot of racing its been really hard miles on it . plese help
