if anybody can tell me how much a 2001 cavi weighs, that would be great.
They weight more than that on average. I believe more like 2860 or so. My 99 weighs in at 3260 with me and subs in the car.
But I didn't bother to look it up either.

my 98 weighed in at 2660 with my box and a quarter tank of gas
My vert weighs in at a whopping 3266 lbs with me in the car (I'm 150lbs) and no tire, jack ect ect.

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
According to my sales brochure, the 2001 curb weight is 1188kg or 2619 pounds for the coupe, and 1214 kg or 2676 pounds for the sedan.
Of course, like horsepower and torque ratings, it's all about averages. Your car might have more (read: heavier) options installed than the 'average' car. Or lighter. Who knows. Maybe it's got more dirt up in the wheel wells.
Only way to know for sure is to hit up a freeway scale at night and see what it says...
