i was driving around the other day in my 2.2 96 sunfire 5 speed and i brought the car up to 5500 rpm and the engine just like cut out or somthing i pushed the clutch in and the engine was still running anybody know what this could be ?
So did the engine cut off? I'm confused.

the engine didn't cut off but it made like bang sound and it felt like it cut off but it didn't. it was weird car still runs fine now though just wondering what it was
