the engine has a lot of potential.
the 2.3 has some superiorities over the 2.4.
many people take parts from that and mix and match.
some people even go all motor with the 086 head. With some modification and such it runs at 11.5:1 compression.
but the potential is there. you just need to work towards it.

It just depends on how fast you want to be and how you want to get there. You could boost it or run N/A but depends on your power goal. If you can figure that out and how much you really want to invest in your motor, than we can help you more.
