the 2.2 coolant resoivior(sp) and the 2.4 coolant resoivior(sp)? Im trying to get all my parts for my 2.4 swap and wanted to see if somone can show me with pictures or tell me whats the difference between the two?

by looking at a couple of the resoivior tanks, one has 3 hoses and the other has 2 hoses on the top half of the tank.. The third hose on the one is coming out from just underneath the cap.. Is that the 2.4 tank? because my 2.2 tank only has 2 hoses on the top half.

My 2200 has 3 hoses, The one under the cap is for the overflow.

their the same...... the newer model had a overflow hose, the older one just vented threw the cap.

You can get ones with only 1 hose on the top......... forget what model I found it on...... think it was a 96 sunfire with a 2.2.......

I dont see why not eather cause my buddy has the 2200 and his is the same as my dads 199 2.4! go for it

like posted above, they're the same, except they changed tanks in newer years, not sure when though. My car has the older tank, and its a 98 if that helps.

i thnk some of the older 2.2 ohv have only 1 hose on the top while the newer 1's have 2

im talking the 2 on top closest to the front of the car


if it has 2 hose like this bottle then you are good to go
