ok our curb weight for 3rd gens should be around 2600-2800 right? unless im wrong. for some reason my car weighs a whopping 3600 lbs?! is this normal? oh yea and i have no audio either......
oh yea, thats also without me in the car, not that i weigh alot. (110 lbs)
Actually I noticed one day on my registration that the DMV put '3600 lbs' as my Cavi's weight. Maybe they mean loaded to its full capacity? But I don't understand how that would make sense...
Blown.
^mine says 3597, so i think they actually weighed the car, cause if it was an estimate wouldnt it say 3600?
I forgot what mine stated exactly, I'm too lazy to walk down to check it, but it was at least 3600 lbs. I think it was something like 3670. Even if it were an estimate, its practically 1000 lbs too much.

Where was your car weighted? I know people with your year car and it weighs nothing close to that. 3600 is more of a Midsize Sedan car's weight or something of that nature. Your car defenitley doesn't weigh that much.

^ well thanks for clearing that up. I was just wondering since thats what the inspection papers say.
Of course none of us should be anywhere near that unless severely modded (lots and lots of audio, etc), I'm closer to 22650-2690..thats about 1000 lbs less than the registration. I've debated for a while going to get it changed..but I don't want to go to the DMV and wait in line for 2 hours.

I have watched about a dozen J's getting weighed at the track.
They all fell between 2650 and 2850 lbs with the exception of mine that was 3278.
So yes, my car is a fat pig.

Yeah mine use to weighted about 3200 or more, but that was with me and system in the car.
Have not weighted it since I REMOVED a few things.
