Sub frame interchangable?

I got a 95 2.2L 5 spd and I wanna swap a Ecotec or 2.4L in it. I plan on buying a 3rd gen Cav with rear damage could i just swap the sub frame, engine and tranny all together?

Im lookin at a 2002 Cav 5spd but dont know what engine it has yet.

I know ill have to do wire harness and all that.

Yes, but the transmission mounts still wouldn't line up, the mount on the tranny doesn't connect to the subframe.
