I just had the motor changed in my wife's 99 sunfire gt. I noticed that it was running really hot. After further inspection, I realized the rad fan is not working. It worked fine when the old motor was in now it doesen't. Does anyone know what I should do to get working again short of running a toggle switch. There is still power to the fan ( I tested it )
Once again I appreciate all the help.
run a toggle switch first, then go back and check all your connections make sure everything is tight if all else fails might have to get a new fan.
Please Dont use the toggle as a perminent thing It will catch on fire, seen it happen.
If you have power and ground at the motor, the motor is bad.
They may have used the coolant fan switch (on engine) from the new used motor, and It may be bad.

I just thought of something, turn on your a/c and see if the fan turns on. (a/c has to work for this test to work properly) if it turns the fan on change the fan switch. 2 wire black and yellow in the cooling jacket on the head.
