I need some help big time. I took my dash pad and front trim bezel out the other day to install a new double din DVD Indash. well while apart i had to move my car and noticed that the odometer lights werent coming on. The HVAC lights werent either. I became worried and thought that it was because the dimmer switch was unplugged. So i shook it off and thought nothing of it. Well i put the car back together and noticed that they were still out. I checked my fuses. All good. Anyone heard of this problem before?? Thats an odd combination of lights to be out at the same time. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Chris
P.S. the dvd player looks beautiful in the dash of these cars.

hey i'm thinking about doing the same.... what did you have to go through to make it fit... is there a kit out there or something or did you fiberglass your dash?? any pics of the new setup????
This was supposed to be a thread to help me figure out why my lights just all of a suddenly stopped working but i figured it out.........kinda. The heater control lights just burned out both at once so i replaced them with 2 blue LEDs. As for the odometer lights.......i dont know what the hell happened to them but they are back on now. I guess thats an ongoing problem for these cars. As for the double din tv, no i didnt fiberglass anything. You just gotta cut the plastic behind the radio for it to fit. You have to cut the plastic on the bottom for the wires to have somewhere to fit.

It sounds like the illumination wire is hooked up to the grey wire, not the brown one as it should be. I've had the same problem on a friend's car... he cut the wire and it grounded out, killing the dash and interior lights. As soon as we taped it off, it was fine.
Ok my gauge cluster part of it goes out randomly. My HVAC just went out the other day and about 10 mins ago driving down the road mine went out. Any idea here on what you think it could be? This is pissing me off. It's also done it with the factory radio. are the 2000+ clusters @!#$ty with the LED's or something?
