I am replacing the struts on my 1996 2.2 Sunfire. What size socket do I need to take loose the bottom strut botls (the ones that connect to the steering knuckle)? If I use PB blaster and a impact gun will they usually come off?

the nuts come off then you have to take a hammer and puond them out the other side. You shouldnt need pb blaster just as long as you can get a good swing. I would preferabl use one of those hammers that thmeselves break away or like are made of a soft material(dunno what they are called) instead of jst a regular steel one.
yea they sometimes get stuck in there and you gotta give them a whack. just make sure to get an alignment when your done.
If you're going to whack them with a hammer..... leave the nut on the end, then hit it. Otherwise you can wreck the threads.
