is it possible to retro fit a/c .. i have a 2002 base model w/o air .. i am dying in the heat ..
I'm sure it is. See if a local salvage yard has an a/c and all the associated parts off another car with a similar engine. You'll need the compressor, the hvac controls, a new belt, and I'm sure some more things to make it work. Hopefully somebody else can be more helpful than I.
Yes, compressor, condensor, evaportor, reciver/drier, lines, new HVAC controls, needs to have all the mounts for the components, needs to have either new ECU, or yours reprogrammed, needs a new belt for cars with A/C, all the switches, and relays, and also fuses for A/C.
have fun
