How much Hp you think ima be pushing and will I run my low 14's like I want to high 13's.... Shift kit, Headers,Intake,Underdrive Pulley,Exhaust,Throttle body ported same as intake manifold, Head , Cams, .20 Over ,Polished crank, the bottom end isn't forged, motor mounts,Oil pump done,...
What else do U reccomend i am trying to run low 14's to high 13's all motor
well forged internals are not a performance mod, they just help to accept the higher HP created by performance mods. You may hit your goal depending on cams you have, tune, and weight reduction. At 3000 lbs (including driver) theoretical equations say that you need about 220 hp to hit 14 secs.

BTW that was wheel HP. You will need about 250 at the crank.

thatll be an awesome goal...id like to see how that goes along..good luck
Thanks soopahtoe
.... But wut else u think is needed to do this???
Forged internals ARE performance mods.
You'll need alot more than that to get in the 13's, even low 14's.
You have a stock bottom end with a set of cams and bolt on. So nothing really higher than 200hp on a 2.4.
If you want to run low 14's, you'll have to get higher compression than stock.

How do you figure bottom end as performance mod unless you are adjusting the compression. More heat disipation through aluminum? tigher clearances? less detonation? smoother surface=less carbon buildup?
well i guess they are a performance mod...sry, my definition is different. I consider performance mods as those that inhance the output of car, but MFK is correct, money invested is performance mods.
I think you are on the right track to hit 14s.

Cause on our engine the parts are cheap and changing to better rods/pistons makes a difference.

If your going to do all that to your engine you would HAVE to also, get some high flow injecters, upgrade your fuel pump and put larger fuel lines in, also upgrading your ECU or chipping it would help you in your goal.

Yeah, then do all that stuff to it that you want... LOL... it would be fun, you know it!!!
