sorry for a repost on this but i think i have explained that in a way i wasnt meaning to, what i want to do is drop a 95 2.2 with a auto in to a 2000 sunfire, will the computer and all that stuff mount up? harnesses and so on
Without getting into the fraud/theft issues here...
Can you weld? You'd have to weld in new brackets for the transmission mounts. Plus, you'd have to swap pretty much everything in the cars... basically strip them both down to the sheet metal and swap everything over... right down to the wiring. And the pedals. And the axles. The dashboard, the clusters, the radios, the airbags, the brake lines... everything.
Have fun!
I have an idea... but its
very not legal.
My other idea, start swapping body panels. It'll be much quicker, but might not help depending on the repo guy.
i cant see nothin illegal about this, cause if i was to blow the motor by acident it woulfd have to be replaced, same thing if the car was in a wreck the body panels would have to be replaced, now i can see my stripin the car down and not putting nothin back from what i took off bein illegal, but iam replacing these parts with sunfire parts, just from a older car
The legality part comes into play where you are in effect stealing the engine out of the 2000 sunfire. It is being repo'd because you cannot pay for it, hence you do not own it anymore (taking something you did not pay for = theft). You would in effect be putting the older 95 motor in a newer car and the block ID car body panel ID would definitely not match the years, overall just don't do it. You might be able to get away with it if you get a stupid repo man or he believes your story of blowing the engine, but I wouldn't risk it if I were you.
lol this thread is funny. just let them repo your car and take it up the ass more. your already getting a big black cock in you by paying that much for a sunfire. just continue to let them stick it to you, atleast your consistant with that
yea ur right about that, i decided not to take anything off of it, actually went and washed it then drove it to the dealership my self, that way the repo man didnt get @!#$ for repoin it, so he missed out on his 400 bucks, but before i took it back i did do one thing in it, pulled up the ebrake and let it rip for a few in front of my house, got to atleast get some kinda good memories
