My friends cavalier

Tonight my friend and I were cruising around in his cavalier, and ever since we had gotten into town this vibration had been getting worse, felt like he had ice in his wheel (It's Canada lol). So he goes to get a car wash at one of those ones where you spray it yourself. I notice his wheel cover on his front right wheel is gone (his car is a piece of junk by the way), so we go looking for it and the vibration is getting pretty brutal. We find the wheel cover in the Ford dealership where we had been earlier and I look at the front right wheel, and 2 of the lugs are missing, lol now not 5 to 10 minutes earlier at the car wash, all 5 lugs were on(obviously loose, explains the vibration). The remaining 3 on the wheel were loose, the one was only 3 turns threaded on and the other 2 were hand tight but not tight once a wrench was put on them. He had extra lugs in the trunk so he threw them on and torqued them down.Him and I put the snow tires on his car 2 months ago and yes we used an impact gun so they were on thier good . I don't understand what happened to cause that, we had just been driving on the highway and there was no vibration at all, went into a restaurant, and come out and hour later and after 20 minutes of driving there is a bad vibration and the wheel nearly falls off, mind you his suspension front and rear is completely done, alignment and camber is all out of wack, transmission is slipping badly. He thinks that somebody was playing a joke on us/trying to kill us, but I told him that the car was out in the open parked just off the road at the restuarant and the OPP station is just down the street, nevermind the numerous people out walking around, pretty sure somebody would noticed somebody screwing with the car. I keep telling him that its his piece of a car is what caused it, I want to know what you guys think, and when I say his suspension is done I mean done, 220,000 kms , never had tie rods, bushings or had the ball joints looked at or anything, like im sure that there are bent/worn/loose/broken components in the front end.

Happened to me in my cav twice now. First time I think it was somebody tampering with my car. The second I'm not really sure why they came loose.
