Ok this is whats up i am looking at getting a different j-body. I currently have a 01 2200, 5 speed car and am looking at getting a 2004 ecotec, 5 speed car from a little used car lot here in town. So he don't know much of the cars history are there anythings i should be looking out for in the ecotec motor that have been known problems any help would be nice thanks.
I have 35,000 on my 04 Ecotec/automatic. The only thing that has gone wrong is the truck latch broke, and the rotors were warped. But that was at like 10,000 miles. I now have 35k, and nothing else has failed. I just do general stuff, spark plugs, fuel/air filters, change the oil every 3000, check tires once a week.
This thing is a great car in my opinion. Yesterday I balanced the tires at work, havent done it in about 6 months. The front suspencion was all tight, and the original break pads have about 35% life on them.
