airbag reset after wreck

lets say one was to have a wreck and blow only 1 air bag sensor, when i replace it do i need to go through a reset procedure? if so how? anyone know what a sensor will run me? its the front one by the hood release. i had a rollover and took hard blow to front

seems to me like you've got worse problems than resetting an airbag sensor...

You don't "reset" the sensors. You replace the damaged one and thats about it.

You have to replace the damaged sensor as well as the air bag module under the passengers side seat (under the carpet). Once the module depolys any airbags it is useless. I have a module and sensor here if you are interested. Just sent me an email at raven@accesswave.ca and I will get back to you about it.

i didnt mean reset the sensors i just didnt know how to get the light to go off or if it would just turn off when the new sensor is installed.

did he airbags deploy?
If they did you would need to replace the front sensor if damaged and the underseat box as well as both airbags. I've seen cases were the light came off after these were replaced. But I've also seen cases were you connected all these then would need to go to the dealer to have him reprogram the new bags to the car. usually costs about 100 for them to do that.
BTW I heard of a company which can reprogram your box if u can't find one with the new airbag set. I havn't tried it out yet but plan in the future. I talked to them and they said they havn't found a box they couldn't reprogram. PM me if you want they number.

I would like their #, I have over a dozen sdm units sitting in a drawer
