my driver side door hinges are pretty worn, i have tried on the net to find new ones with no luck, is this a dealer only item, and can anyone share some advice on how to repair or replace door hinges.

oh i forgot to add mine is 98 2 door RS

Try GMpartsdirect they got the hinges for me, I bought both upper and lower but for the passenger side.

Yep dealer of junk yard, Yards usually sell them with a door though. I have thrown so many of those away, looks like Im going to start saving them for ebay. When I get a used door I dont usually change the hinges, I chuck em in the scrap pile. Because of this you might want to check at your local body shop also to get possible freebee's.

wreckers will tell you that the 4dr and 2dr hinges are the same...

they are not!! had 4dr hinges for my 2dr, and they required modding to get them to fit properly

but since the 4dr doors are so light, the hinges dont wear like the 2drs do, so they're really good in that aspect
