Is that harness sitting on the seat all put together? If so nice job. Looks super clean and tidy.
LOL I wish it was. No thats just the 3400 harness... Some of the wires are labled thats all.

Haha bummer. You got a long road ahead sir. Good luck
very nice
They are going to think you are nuts till you go to crank 'er over the first time
Ya i like to stand out from the crowd and be different. All these kids that are doing Honda swaps are coming over to me and bragging about their car and what not... Sayin mines a POS but whatev. I really cant stand that crap... Most of the kids that go to my school are right out of High School too so kinda immature.

Should I start a progress thread?
COMING SOON! VERY NICE!

When they do that to me, I usually like to make comments about how much they like penis and such. There isn't much they can say about it in the face of a 300 pound guy either. Even if there's a lot of them.
What class are you in that your allowed to do that? PA must have way different rules up there. im stuck in laramie and i cant even bring my car in to the refinishing shop to paint a couple things. i have to take them off first. anyways. good luck
^^
Another suggestion with above, I did this with mine.
Before you start it for the first time, unhook power from the ICM and crank on it for a bit. Kinda to help get some oil circulated around, since the engine hasn't been running for a while. I took that trick from my brothers Daytona Turbo he used to have. It actually said to do that (actually it had a distributor, but same idea) after an oil change so that you could circulate some oil into the turbo before starting it. Might be a good idea to try to help keep it from running real dry on the first startup.
^^ Or in my case, have a problem with VATS
VATS? The top end of the motor is getting tore down and rebuilt. OH BTW for you guys that didnt break down the top end mine had 2 cracked pushrods... Hair line cracks. Might be a good idea to check yalls.

what wyotech are you in, cause if its in pa i wanna see some of this, im in drivetrain now.
03 Sunfire - Sold.
VATS, as in Passkey 3..? Have fun with that... I did. Once I had it figured out tho, it was smooth sailing.
BTW, Theftlock is a radio feature
...j
How did you guys get around the VATS?
COMING SOON! VERY NICE!

I put in a BCM.
Lenko, 3400 runs on Passlock (similar to 2k+ J-bodies)

I thought you said that you didnt run one lol $hit how did you wire it up and where can i get one now since i thought you used HPT to get around it. I didnt get the BCM out of the car because i thought HPT got ride of it.

I got the BCM before I got HPT, which I ended up needing both in the long run anyhow.
but I decided to stick w/ the BCM for other reasons
need the following pins hooked up:
Quote:
Here is what I show to hook up the passlock, they might be called a little different names but im sure they are the same.
All grand am stuff, ending is the circuit # (XXXX)
C1 plug
A8-Ignition 0 voltage, ppl, to 10a fuse hot in acc, on or start. goes to pin b9 left IP fuse block grand am (1600)
B8-battery pos voltage, brn , to 10a fuse hot in run, goes to rt ip fuse block grand am(341)
C2 plug
A6-security sensor low, blk, (passlock gnd) pin b of passlock cylinder(1835)
B6-security systen sensor signal, yel, (passlock signal) pin b of passlock cylinder(1836)
B9-ignition 3 voltage, pink, to 10a fuse hot in on or start, goes to underhood fuse block, C4plug, C3pin(439)
C3 plug
A10-Ground, blk/wht, rounded at the left side of the dash, ground # G202 (151)
A12-Battery positive voltage, org, 10a fuse hot all times, rt ip fuse block grand am(340)
B1-battery fuse voltage, org, 10a fuse hot all times left Ip fuse block ga(1540)
B2-class 2 serial, ppl, to computer data lines. (attach it any where in the data system)(1807)
B4-security system sensor supply voltage, wht, (passlock b+) to pin c of passlock cylinder(1459)
And the 3 connector part #'s
12084945 (gray)
12110088 (gray)
12110244 (pink)
In that quote what is the "passlock cylinder"
COMING SOON! VERY NICE!
Ignition switch I believe.
SHOoff wrote:Ignition switch I believe.
yep. there should be a seperate plug going to the instrument cluster with those wires.
Nate If you can get that cruise module to work for you , You be the man.
Mine never did work, I just gave up on it after a couple of weeks.
Guys, Arent you talking about 2 different security systems. His harness is out of an 02 gam, his cav is 96-7.
Wait , the wiring pin outs that are quoted are mine,
Those are for the GAM 00+ BCM . not a pre 00 cav cluster.
Your passlock (ignition)cylinder will work with the 00+ bcm, your just going to have to do some moving of wires from the cluster. to the gam bcm.
you will have to look up the cav cluster wiring but these are the 3 that go to the passlock cyl of the gam.
A6-security sensor low, blk, (passlock gnd) pin b of passlock cylinder(1835)
B6-security systen sensor signal, yel, (passlock signal) pin b of passlock cylinder(1836)
B4-security system sensor supply voltage, wht, (passlock b+) to pin c of passlock cylinder(1459)
01 cav w/01 3400 gam gt 4t45e
