Car ran great last night, put around 100 miles on it actually. Went out today, started her up, saw the battery light and heard a weird noise, immediately shut it down, pooped hood, and the entire serpentine belt is loose, loose as f.

Any ideas? Could the tensioner pulley just be loose? Did the spring in the pulley go bad?

i dont know what to tell you man. you push or pull on the tensioner to see if it still has spring in it?

Tried, don't have a box wrench that size, and my socket doesn't fit.

I suspect the spring went bad,

Ended up being the tensioner..$57 and an hour later, The problem is solved.
