as u mite kno i just put a motor in the car 99 sunfire (motor of a 97) anyways the thing ran perfect at first when i got hte motor in and when i came out today to finishe it all of the car wouldnt run, but i primed it and it runs fine of primer but shuts off as soon as its burnt. nolw the car has lots of gas and i drove the car ti rad perfect till it threw a rod so i cant see it being the fuel pump. she is geting lots of gas to the fuel rail but only a dribble out of the injectors. for the 97 motor to work i had to change them from my motor because the plug ins were differnt so i just unbloted the rail and switched it all. anyone have any idea as to what could be wrong
when pump goes bad, normally it doesnt work at all or after running for like 20 min it wont work. Either you have a plugged fuel filter, a loose ground or a problem with the theft system. if it were a theft system thing , the theft light would be flashing when it turns it self off.

theft light come on yes im not sure if its flashing tho, were would i check for a ground? im after checking every were and cant seem to find one, or if its stuck in theft how do i get it out of it can i bypass it or anything?
Did you check to see if the theft light is flashing when it shuts off? thats the first place to start, no sense in tearing up wiring harnesses if the theft system is causing it.

no the theft lite is solid no flashing.. when i turn the key ahead it sounds like the fuel pump is kicking in...somethings kiciking in in the tank but theres no gas comming out of the line. i cant see the filter pluging up or anything like that it ran till it seized up i changed the motor now its not pumping gas.
