Oil pressure gauge problem
Sunday, August 31, 2008 7:33 AM
I was at the track friday night and got like 7 runs in and the last one I noticed that my oil pressure gauge was pegged at 100psi. I pulled over right away and turned the car off and checked everything. The engine wasnt knocking and the oil level was fine. All the wires on the sending unit are ok. What do you think is wrong?

Not trying to be d!ck or anything Nate, but with as much money as you spent on the school you went to, what did you learn? More than likely its the sending unit itself (I assume its an autometer) .

And this is why I bought a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

Thanks for the insult. I was trying to get fast answers before I ordered a new sending unit, like if anyone had had this happen before.
