Compression Ratio

so from what i've learned, our little cars have a very adaptive ECU in them. Which leads me to wonder about the compression ratio.

I have a 2.2 ECO from an 03 sunfire. plan on building a reliable all motor car, for now. i want to raise the compression ratio slightly via a headgasket swap. now how high can i raise it (if at all) on a factory ecu/light tuning? i've read that 8 pounds of boost can be run on a stock computer, so figured this must be similar. and who sells headgaskets for the ecotec? which one would you run if you were me?

i'm only asking since the gasket that i've got in this beast now looks like it lost a wrestling match to a flamethrower with a chainsaw on it, and figured now is as good a time as any to upgrade it.

stock 2.2 ECOtecs run 9.5:1, correct?

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

You won't be able to run a significant enough change in headgasket thickness to affect your compression to the point your ECU freaks out. You probably won't even notice a change in power.
