Hey does any one know what all body parts are swapable from the sunfire to the cavi
by swap able i mean i don't have to customize it to bad to get it to swap over
also wondering if the z24 side skirts and front bumper are swapable to the cavi
skirts are swappable if they're both 2dr/4dr. Front clips are swappable (fenders, hood, lights, bumper) I think 4 dr trunks are swappable as well, but not 100% sure on that.
I've a 2-door cav trunk on my 4-door sunfire, so everything is swapable there, sides, as long as they aren't SFGT sides, are interchangable, meaning you could have Z24 skirts on a 2-door sunfire SE if you take the OE skirts off, or you could put them onto a 4-door, either SF or cav. and everything for interiors are interchangable too.
good deal does any one have a pic by pic walk thru... and yes i have seen the thread for changing the front ends.. anyone have any pictures of a cav with the back end switched>or>front end?

no. 2 door sunfire trunks are different. 4 door sunfires and all cavaliers have the same trunk

The one that is not interchangeable with anything else is the Sunfire 2 door trunk. All of the Cavs, and the 4 door Sunfires, have the same trunk. The difference in some of them is holes drilled for fillers or not, but they'll all interchange.
The tails are interchangeable between all Cavs and 4 door Sunfires as well.

So, you can put cav tails on a 2dr sunfire? then what goes on with the inner panel?
4-door sunfires, not 2-door sunfires.
2-door sunfires are a whole different breed. the only thing that can be changed if you're going 2-door to 2-door is the front clip and most of the interior, just not the back half.
basicly body panel wise behind the door on a 2 door sunfire CAN NOT BE USED doors forward are swapable GT sides can be put on a 2 door cav but if its behing the doors it wont fit on a cav just look at pictures of them the slop is way different the GTs almost look like they could be a hatch

can i use a cavalier hood on a sunfire front with no modifications at all ? can i use a Rh side mirrors on the drivers side? i heard that if i take a cavalier front from a sedan on put it on the sunfire sedan it would look just like a cavalier sedan, is this true? one more thing is the radiator support the same on all jbodies?

NO you can't MIX front ends its either SUNFIRE or CAVALEIR NO MIXING
No the RH mirror wont fit on the driver side theres a reason they CALL IT RIGHT HAND SIDE and LEFT HAND SIDE
rad support is the same its only the out sheet metal thats different
as for the sedan to sedan yes it would look liek a cavalier except the trunk woul dhave the sunfire bumper and the pontiac panel you can swap these from a cavalier too

yah if you read the whole thing then you would notice i did state that i saw the thread about jbody swaps
do you have parts from a gt that youre not using or getting rid of? if so, which parts?
no i m wanting to add sunfire parts to my cav and then i will have parts from my cav to get rid of the ideal way to do this would be to find some one with a sunfire that wants to have a cavfire and trade them streight across my parts for theirs
like which parts? cause the only things you could really do, is either a 4-door rear, or a sunfire front. cannot do the 2-door sunfire rear on a cav.
