I have a 98 Sunfire GT Auto with a bad engine and tranny... Would the 2.4 & auto tranny out of a 99 Grand Am be a clean swap without mods?

Yes it will work. You need to use the ECU and engine bay wiring from your car, as well as your injectors and intake manifold (unless this one comes with a wiring harness and ECU).
