3100 swap ecm auto code removal/5spd durability
Tuesday, November 04, 2008 9:52 AM
I've got a '97 Cavalier 2.2l 5 speed that I'm planning on swapping a '97 Lumina 3100 into (I have the whole car). I'm going to use the Cavi transmission, and from searching the forums I know I have to get the auto trans codes deleted from the computer. Can anyone recommend a business that has experience doing this, and how much does it usually cost to have this done. Also, how is the durability of the stock 2.2l manual transmission with the 3100? I'm just looking for any experiences with breakage etc. you 3X00 swappers have had. Thanks, Jim.

Aside from my first two Isuzu trans grenading (175k miles and 225k miles), the third one is holding fine, and I'm not easy on it either.
