7-10 at a shop for sure i paid 4000 for everthing on mine that included buying the car its kinda sad that my clutch cost me almost as much as the entire engine mind u a buddy of mine and i did everything on the swap reasearch is a big MUST

it would be way cheaper to go with an ecotec with a saab turbo setup
you have an 00 so the ecos are plug and play slap a saab turbo on call it a day

3800 cavaliers are considered money pits trust me, you may say you only want the motor and thats it, i said that now i'm doin engine work and getting a smaller pully then you get into the traction issues now i'm gonna be running wider wheels not much wider gonna be doin ghte NWF brake setup and rear disc conversion 3800 have traction issues for sure i spin 2nd gear and cherp 3rd the 280 ft lbs is crazy. if you can't do some of the work yourself its gonna cost you BIG MONEY FOR SURE

I do believe you should factor in the price of engine, transmission, harness, clutch, etc....
